We welcome questions regarding Communitas which go beyond the content of this website and which will help you clarify our aims and philosophy, our approaches and perspectives.

And we also invite you to bring your own organisational issues, work dilemmas or personal-professional questions. You can expect solid responses and feedback as well as the benefit of an integral, psychologically-informed perspective.

If you do, please contribute detailed, but anonymous case examples and descriptions – the more specific and explicit you are, the more likely it is that people can make useful comments.

This Forum has just been launched and we are looking forward to engaging with you - we are envisaging eventually a vibrant online community around Communitas. Please post your questions and comments.

Congratulations on launching this project. I am needing to make teaching commitments
for 2010 which at the moment I have choice over but very soon need to commit. I really want to join your training in 2010
and I imagine you are holding date commitment off until you perhaps have enough of a group to start it. However, I just
wonder if you know the format?

1. Whether it will be weekday or weekend?
2. Whether it will be a group that will start as a closed group?
3. If there would be any flexibility if I commit to my teaching dates and find I then have a date clash with your training?

Many thanks

Dear Jo,

thanks for your enquiry.
Whether the one-year training group already happens next year, all depends on how quickly the news of Communitas spreads and gets to the right people.
In order for a weekly (or maybe fortnightly) training group to work for you and fulfil its purpose, we estimate that we need a group of at least 18 people, ideally more. For participants to get involved in the group dynamics and to get a solid experience of leading a group as well as practising a wide variety of leadership skills, it’ll need to be that kind of size. If it happens, it’ll be weekly (or fortnightly) on a weekday, probably something like 1pm - 8pm, probably Mondays (less likely Tuesdays), in or near Oxford. It’s unlikely to be weekends. It may initially need to start with a pilot on a monthly basis, or some scaled-down version; we may do some taster events and then close the group, but this is all speculation.
Hope that gives you enough of an idea.
